From imaginary sibling Felicia Day comes this hilarious (and catchy) song, "Do You Wanna Date My Avatar?"
Is it wrong to want a dress like that? For Halloween, guys.

What Does That Do For Your Facebook Relationship Status?
When I'm a Parent, I'm Totally Going to Heckle

Yeah, that's what it felt like even when I was in the chorus.

Why Should I Worry? Why Should I Care?
Tuesday's challenge: try to get your office to sing along.
I freakin' loved this as a kid.

It Seems Like Years Since It's Been Here

A little sunshine for your Monday morning:
Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. One of the loveliest songs ever.

Get Your Daily Dose of Potassium
Harry Belafonte and the Muppets? Oh heck yeah!
(Although even a Muppet spider doesn't thrill me.)

Never Thought I'd Be on a Boat!

It's a great, big, watery road! I think they should teach kids this song instead of that "in 1492..." one.

That Twain Keeps a Wolling
Man, what's with all the cool kids? When I was this age, I was running around the house, singing along with the Little Mermaid soundtrack.
I just love the little lisp!

To the New World!
For the longest time, Justin Timberlake didn't really enter my radar. Sure, I danced to 'NSync songs at dances, and I thought going solo was a good move, but I was never in love with him. Well, SNL has made me love him so much. The music? That's fun and catchy and great, but it's the comedy that puts him over the top. I mean, Dick in a Box? Hip Hop Kids? Motherlover? Freakin' awesome. Every time he's on, it's funny. Who'd have known that he'd fit into SNL so well?
This one isn't quite 'Dick in a Box,' but it's a great send-up of Timberlake's career.
Keep dreaming of that new world, Cornelius Timberlake. It's a glorious world for us all!

Toxic Shack?
This is the best of both world's: Britney's catchy beats, and the vocal stylings of the B-52s.
I wish I could download this version!

Hip to Be Square
An awesome music video for your Friday!
SOUR / 日々の音色 (Hibi no Neiro) MV from Magico Nakamura on Vimeo.
This is why I think the internet is really raising the bar on music videos. It's not about big directors or sparkly concepts. It's about doing cool things and making good music.

What About the Climbing Music?

Personally, I like the eerie Lost opening hum, but producers think there could be more. So they're looking to the fans to compose a Lost theme song.
Okay, that doesn't mean they're getting rid of the opening hum. But it does mean that the winning entry will premiere at the Lost Comic-con panel for the show's fifth anniversary. That's right--thousands of fans cheering for your song!
Well, I think someone already has the winning entry, and Lady Faces already expressed our approval. Try to beat this, kids!

Now I Need a Cool Nickname, Too
A little jazziness for your Tuesday.
Dusty Springfield has too much cool for it to be fair.

I feel a little weird blogging about this, since it makes fun of being online, but I just can't help myself!

Good Move, Michael

Michael Jackson probably wasn't the world's most socially savvy person. For example, after making some songs with Paul McCartney, he took McCartney's advice to buy rights to some songs. Except Jackson went after the Beatles back list. Probably not what McCartney had in mind. Needless to say, they weren't exactly friends after that.
But apparently Michael has put things back to normal. Rumors are that he's willed the back catalog of Beatles' hits back to McCartney.
Well done. If a little late to actually make amends.
No word on how Ringo feels.
Arts and Crafts
This is why the internet is great--people doing kind of crazy things so you don't have to!

Reason #46 why the new Star Trek has done so well.
I'll admit it; I think this song is hilarious in almost any situation.

Dance It Out
Don't be afraid to dance weird, because one day people will flock to you!
I'd actually like to give props to the first guy who joined the weird dancer guy. Without first joiner, none of this would have happened.
