Remember when you used to have spelling words? And how, in high school, teachers wanted you to learn words that would be helpful for the SATs? Thank God those days are over.
Except I do have a special place in my heart for Word Journal. I love their collection of fun, quirky words. Like recent favorite, hypophora:
hypophora
noun • asking a question and then immediately answering it.
Today's word? Meshuggah.
meshuggah
adjective • /mɪˈʃʊgə/ • crazy; idiotic.
From Yiddish meshuge; Hebrew meshugga.
